Kris is a Whidbey Island artist and illustrator who is best known in the Puget Sound region for her interpretive signs of marine life, birds, flora and history. She also works nationally creating illustrations for clients such as Spartanburg History Museum, The Wall Street Journal and Full of Life Flatbread Pizza. Her illustration work is represented by Morgan Gaynin Inc., New York.
After receiving a BA in painting from Western Washington University in Bellingham, Kris studied illustration at the School of Visual Concepts, Seattle. During that time she launched her career as an illustrator, branching out nationally. In addition to illustrating she taught figure drawing, basic drawing and illustration for nine years at SVC, and Seattle Central CC. She continues teaching watercolors on and near Whidbey Island, Washington.
